I sponsored a kid

I bit the bullet finally and sponsored a child with Compassion on Wednesday.

I was flicking through pics and this kid really stood out to me.

 His name is Rene Isidro Romero and he is from Nicaragua, which is one of the many poor countries in Central America. In fact, many Nicos emigrate illegally to other countries in the hope of better employment prospects. I have heard before that one in every ten people in Costa Rica (CA’s most wealthy nation) is an illegal from Nicaragua.

 I was looking specifically for a kid that spoke Spanish. Hopefully I will learn enough to be able to write to him.
