There isn’t actually much Yak activity in Mongolia (though there is some.) It mostly centres around sheep!
Approx half the population of Mongolia is nomadic, keeping alive a centuries old tradition in our modern world. I find that fascinating.
Apparently the scenery isn’t too bad, but a lot of people say how much they enjoyed the culture. It’s like stepping back in time for many. I can’t wait!

Reading the Lonely Planet guide to Mongolia, reminded me a little of Molvania (or perhaps Borat). There was something there about stoning, also they have the same word for grass and vegetables …
