Following on from the posts I have been doing about web site case studies, the next step in any website is to build your rank in Google and other search engines. But noone really cares about the other search engines.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It’s got many facets including putting keywords in your title, the age of your website, the keywords in your domain… But by far the most important aspect according to most people is link building.
If Google sees a website that is getting lots of incoming links, then Google knows that this is a good website that is trusted by many people. But it’s very hard to build links. Also other factors come into play on SEO as well. For example, if a very popular website links to you and Google sees this, it thinks your website must be worth linking to and will start bumping you up.
Google trusts some extensions more than others. For example, it would trust .info over .tk. And it trusts .com over .info. But it REALLY trusts .edu and .gov over everything else!
So getting edu links is the holy grail of SEO. Edu Text Link is a service that let you buy links from websites that have .edu extensions so you can receive links from them. Having an edu link is a known and trusted way to get your website some good rankings in Google.
Unfortunately the Get Edu Links button on the middle of their page doesn’t work but you can get information by scrolling down a little and clicking on the links there.
It’s not cheap but that’s because high Page Rank .EDU links are VERY hard to come by! if you have ever tried to buy text links you’ll know exactly what I mean.
Packages start from $399 and will include two articles with several links each placed on some very high PR (7,
.edu domains. You can get better value from buying their higher priced packages but still, this is only for the person who is very serious about doing some real SEO for their website.
