Blog Stats

At some point last year, this blog was receiving thousands of visitors a month. I only found this out - today. Before, I had no way of accessing that data.

Now it receives 500-1000 visitors a month, mostly through Google. Very few leave comments!

I also have a word count plug-in.

I have only every written one post more than 1000 words - Where Am I Going? - which was a response to a haranguing I received from my girlfriend’s parents earlier that night. We broke up 2 days later.

Probably the best insight of that post was noticing that out of the top 100 earners in Australia, not one of them is an employee of a company. Owning a business is the path to true wealth. The amount of millionaire business owners far, far outweighs millionaire employees such as CEOs for Fortune 500 companies.

Tactical Gear

Brigade Quartermasters is a retailer of tactical gear. They especially list BlackHawk Tactical Gear which has a pretty incredible story.

Back in 1993, Navy Seal and BlackHawk Tactical gear founder Mike Noell was walking across a minefield and had the experience of his pack breaking - spilling his gear all over the ground. Although no mine exploded, he vowed to make equipment for soldiers that was more reliable than he had at the time.

During the current Iraq War, tactical gear has been purchased in increasing quantities by soldiers and their families who seek to have the best gear. A lot of the stuff issued to soldiers can be inferior quality as it is made by the lowest bidder and is selected by people who don’t have experience on the ground. It’s also useful for remote and aventure travel, and for hunting.

There’s two car parks at my work. One downstairs and one 15 minutes walk away. I’m a lackey so I don’t get to use the one downstairs.

Only the non-lackey shift-workers are allowed to park there. Anyone who works office hours is basically expected to use public transport to get in.

There’s a guy at my work who goes crazy every time that someone uses the parking downstairs when they’re not meant to. He always bails them up, harangues them and then threatens them.

He’s just been transferred to 9-5 work and guess who’s parking downstairs?

I hate it how people do this. There’s always one set of rules for everyone else and another for themselves.

And Valencia have made up for their disappointing La Liga campaign (currently 16th) with a win of the Copa del Rey (tr: King’s Cup.)

How happy do these fans look:
