I’ve had a pretty good run when it comes to injuries. I’ve never broken a bone, but for a chipped tooth and some loose bone floating around in my foot that showed up on x-ray but they weren’t sure how it got there.
But there is some juiciness. The doctor tells me I have abnormally bendy ligaments which is something that’s given me much grief.
I’ve rolled each ankle countless times. I’ve dislocated each knee cap at least 5 times. I’ve subluxed both my shoulders twice, which killed my tennis playing. The one that’s hurt the most, and been the most debilitating, has been dislocating my spine. The spine in my upper back has slightly dislocated 4 times and each time, it really hurts, and it hangs around for the better part of a week.
The doctor said that most of these would be taken care of if I worked out. The last time I worked out, I did my back. So the idea would be to take it slowly, slowly. My motivation for doing regular push-ups and sit-ups is starting to grow as I’m really starting to wonder what my potential is physically. I’m resisting starting because I don’t want to stop after 2 weeks.
