If you don’t know what a high yield trust deed investment is, it delivers higher returns, typically on investment in real estate development or things like wood plantations, olive oil plantations. There’s a higher risk - the returns come from people who can’t get money from banks - but also a higher return as well as real estate is a pretty solid field.

Diamond Bay is a real estate investment company in this field offering opportunities to qualified investors living in Nevada.

They have a quite sensational website. I’m not sure how they have overlaid video with no background - probably using blue screen - but it’s pretty cool.

Real estate investment is a tricky one right now but I would say that Diamond Bay probably have a wealth of good investments to pick from right now.

As a quick explanation, real estate developers often have to turn to non banking institutions because banks see them as too high a risk for low cost debt. But here’s the deal, banks have barely any money to lend so even the developers with an extremely good record and sound financials are still likely to get rejected due to the extreme cost of lending.

Although real estate is probably too scary a field right now, there are only pockets of the country that are genuinely struggling. Developments targeted at the middle to upper classes will probably have not too much trouble getting a return on investment and don’t forget, Diamond Bay gets to pick the best of the bunch.

Well I played the new edition of Trivial Pursuit just then and it’s good fun. Previously I had played an edition from the 80s which was ridiculous because I don’t know anything about 70s entertainment.

Anyway, obviously I wouldn’t be blogging about it if I hadn’t of won so here we go:

I won.

What makes me happy about it is there was two teams of two, and me, and I won.

Even without winning (it was a tight game), Trivial Pursuit is a lot of fun if you’re interested in General Trivia. There’s six categories - Geography, Science/Nature, Sport, History, Entertainment and Arts & Literature.

Geography is my favourite because it’s easy if you like Geography. If you like books, Arts & Literature is still going to be pretty hard unless you are a literary reviewer.

Probably the most ridiculous facet of the game is references to Harry Potter. Not questions like “which JK Rowling book was the best selling novel of 2006″ but stuff related to the actual fictional currency of the books, which I have never read. Ghey.

Anyway, if you know the game and are still reading, after I got all the tiles I had 5 goes until I finally hit the centre. And on one of them I got 8 questions right in a row but couldn’t roll the dice to be special.

I know I have talked about this before but I’m going to do it again. I can’t wait until my sojourn to Spain in August. I’ll be leaving my family a lot of international calling cards so they can call me and talk to me and make sure that I’m safe and sound.

GetMeCallingCards.com is a retailer online of calling cards covering pretty much the entire world. Well, close enough.

What I like about their site straight up is that it is easy to navigate to where you want to go. All you have to say is where you are calling from - although I think they should raise the United States to the top of the from list as that’s where most people are going to be calling from.

The offers for http://www.getmecallingcards.com/Spain_calling_cards.html>calling cards for Spain are pretty sensational. I’m not sure how they get such deals so good but it’s $5 for the card with zero connection fees and a rate per minute of 0.0c. Actually it makes you really wonder how anyone’s making money out of this, but I’ll leave that to the owner of the site to figure out.

Overall the website is very well designed, very easy to navigate. Some of the graphics on the home page could be a little more pro but that’s only a very small complaint. Two thumbs up.
