I made the $2200 challenge. But they go “oh, actually you don’t need to pay for another 6 weeks!”

I don’t have the itinerary with me but I’m pretty sure I’ll leave here on 18 Aug and get back on Dec 10 to a sea of smiling faces (right…?!).

I’ll be flying with Swiss Air.

I’ve been picking up quite a few resources for  learning Spanish which is cool. I’ve also found a group of very friendly people to practice with so it’s coming along nicely.

I want my Spanish to be as good as possible by the time I hit yonder shore. I’ve downloaded an English-Spanish dictionary into my phone and am constantly hitting words that I want to know the meaning of. Probably my favourite words right now are:

Smile : Sonrisa (it reminds me of the word sun-rise, which fits in nicely with the idea of a smile.)

Eye - ojo.  I like this because the word actually looks like two eyes with a nose in the middle.

I’m getting a little tired of certain aspects of Christianity.
