Ok, given that it’s basically an inevitability now that Labor will win the next election, what will a Rudd-led Australia be like?
The good -
Higher interest rates. Yep that’s right. Median house prices jumped $50k last year. FIFTY THOUSAND. That’s ridiculous! If I were the Reserve Bank I would put on a double digit interest rate rise because the economy is starting to get out of control.
The bad -
Their plan for IR laws will definitely hurt employment, possibly to the tune of 100,000 jobs. It’s unfortunate that the Australian people don’t understand how good the IR laws actually were. All the Liberals best predictions have come true and now Australia is drawing close to full employment… (It’s been a VERY long time since those words could realistically be uttered by ANYONE.)
The ugly:
The Labor team is so weak. Think of a cabinet with Gillard, McLelland, Swan. Uh-oh. It’s not Rudd, it’s his cabinet who will bring us down. They’re total hacks. It’s a shame that they lost one of their best men, Beazley. He would have been a decent minister.
