Looking for a piece of genuine, blessed, made-in-Israel, Christian jewelry? Holy Land Gift Store may well be your site.

They do the smart thing and skip having a landing page, instead pushing their most poular products front and centre. I have noticed this is a key to online commerce - bypass the presell, get to the product. It seems to work.

They specialise in confirmation gifts, which is one of those nice Catholic practises. How old are kids confirmed? 12? I know if I was a kid in the Catholic church I would have been stoked to receive some of these gifts.

The free prayer request is an interesting but kind of cool extra touch.

“And with every purchase, you receive a free prayer request, which is translated into Latin and recited by a priest in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem”

Don’t hear that every day!

*Flexes muscles*

Yep, it’s a glory story!

The other day my friend Jake was talking to me about owning a house. I was like dude, are you sure you know what you’re doing? And then I gave him a bunch of advice.

After I’m done he’s like “dude, how did you know that…? My accountant said to me exactly the same thing”

It’s like scoring from the halfway line people. You just want a commentator to rip out GOOOOOOLAAAAAZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Unfortunately there’s none around to provide appropriate service, so I was forced to. Happily.

TutorVista

Tutor Vista is an online tutoring company designed to help kids get on with their homework at any time of the day of the night.

I have never thought of this kind of service before but it’s a good idea. Rather than having to block your day around a tutor visit for your kid, or having to drive that kid to someone else’s place, you could get tutoring done online.

The homework help is one part of the service - they also offer additional modules and customised lesson plans based on the child’s year level and ability.

Let’s face it, maths and algebra are hard for many kids. So they can use the help.

Now to price. Does it deliver value over flesh and blood tutors? How about $900 for the year…? That sounds pretty good to me.

If you could force your kid to make time every day to use this, I think it would create sensational value. Much better than those educational packs that sell for thousands of dollars yet are completely ueseless. Despite being online, it still delivers the human touch.
