Coding websites can be an extremely frustrating process sometimes. This is due in part to my lack of knowledge of HTML and CSS.
When I make a website, invariably it involves finding a free template and editign the code. I explain my knowledge of HTML like this : Some people say they cannot speak Spanish, but can understand it. HTML is the same way for me.
Obviously when you’re editing you bump into problems that become pretty annoying pretty quickly. You often end up coming up with solutions that would cause a purist to gouge out his eyes, but do work.
I just had one of these little solutions for Search316. Happiness ensued. Also a little bit of fist-pumping.
Optics Planet is a binoculars, night vision, thermal imaging type of website with the most link-stuffing I have ever seen on a page. They’re clearly trying to rank for terms on Google which has detracts from the user experience, something which sould really be the end goal.
Moving right along, binoculars are one of those useless things that feels fun to buy occasionally and these guys have, well, loads. But boys being boys, the first thing I’m going to is the Night Vision section. And what’s quite surprising is the price. I thought these things would be ticking the $1000 box. Sure, some are, but you can get them fairly cheaply. (By that I mean US$200).
They don’t look all that comfortable… it’d probably be better if you’re in the army because they have the set up with the helmet.
Unfortunately you can’t get heat-seeking goggles which is a bit of a shame.
Regarding the binoculars, I don’t know anything at all about them so you’re probably just best left to see for yourself. Prices start low.
