Well I’ve been talking a bit about competitive keywords lately and blog hosting is one of them. AQ host offer Blog Hosting from $10 month.

My first question is, what’s the difference between blog hosting and normal hosting? The answer, it appears, is not a great deal.

I’ll be honest in saying that on first appearance, the site makes me nervous. The design is based on 90’s values, even including a rotating globe for some reason. However, what makes me most nervous are the Mastercard, Visa symbols down the bottom. The images look like they have been taken from a screen-shot of another website. I know this doesn’t make them look like a fraud, but it does make me ask questions. Just how much do these guys know about websites?

Looking at their plans, what they are offering is fairly standard - 2Gb, 20gb a month. Most places charge a few bucks a month for this. So what’s so different that it’s worth $10 a month? The main thing I can see is that they offer up to 11 domains on this plan. (My hosting providers offer 8 and 5.)

If you can set up wordpress hosting on your own account you’ll probably be safe with a normal host. If you’re hopeless with blogs and feel like shelling to get the coverage you need, this might be the place.

After game five of the American League Conference Series, Cleveland Indians lead the Boston Red Sox 3-2.

This is a bit disappointing as BoSox - my team - were largely expected to be untroubled in going through. Now we have to win our next two games - both at home, fortunately - to qualify to play the Rockies in the World Series.

Well David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz (pic above) lead us to glory?

It all waits to be seen.

Our last World Series win was in 2003, breaking a massive drought known as the “Curse of the Bambino”.

What I love about baseball is the sheer plethora of traditions, rivalries, superstitions, and history. The downside is the games are so frequent that you rarely read a good analysis of a particular game of baseball.

It’s almost like the movies, where the good guy is trying to get away from the bad guys but they always seem to know where he is. He then looks under his car and sees a suspicious device with a flashing red light. What he then does is stick it on another car and gets away.

This is the world of GPS tracking systems and now it’s much more a case of reality than fiction. (I wonder if spies have to check their car every day for GPS systems now?)

You can use these systems to make sure your kids aren’t up to any funny business. You can also track company cars around the city.

Courier companies and taxi companies can take particular advantage of this sort of thing as they are able to instantly locate the nearest vehicle and send it to the right place.

I’m sure the Police Services could benefit as well.

I wonder if I will have the cojones to attach one of these to my kids car? The thing is, they’ll probably just come standard with a car soon enough….
