Melbourne

This is a sponsored post but it’s worth reading, this is a great website…

A common chant at Melbourne Victory games sings “We love you Melbourne we do.. ohhh Melbourne we love you!”

We’re not just talking about our team either. Most Melbournians really love their city, and I’m one of them. On the Victory forum we’re often being asked by people for great hotels in Melbourne to stay in. These aren’t people who are coming to watch their team play Melbourne. They’re coming because it’s Australia’s first soccer team that people will travel to see.

Moving on from soccer - it’s so easy to get carried away talking about it - there’s many other reasons that people come here. But the site I’m talking about today is perfect for travelling sport fans trying to score  a last minute deal.

The problem with big cities is the price of accommodation. And that’s why I am very excited to be reviewing this site.

When you visit Cheaper Than Hotels you can click view all the specials on a certain star rating for that city. For example, I clicked on 4 star hotels in Melbourne and was blown away by the prices. So cheap.

$69 at Rydges! That’s the cheapest one but there’s a ton less than $100 a night. Not bad eh! Click here to view that search 4 Star Hotels In Melbourne. I found 16 hotels under $100. 4 Star. Dude…

The idea of Cheaper Than Hotels is to catch all the last minute accommodation specials.  I just went to use their booking engine then and these deals are available.

If you aren’t after hotels in Melbourne; they also have hotels in Sydney and hotels in Brisbane listed too.

I’m going to add this to the cheap travel section of Jonk’s Bargains as well.

My first guest post is up at Petes blog!! Yay. Go over and read it if you want.

Great Circle

It’s a lot of fun writing guest posts for other people’s blogs. It’s also fun to go to their website and see it published.

I’d recommend it to anyone. But the next problem is… who is going to ask you to do it? Anyway, a snippet from that post:

“One of the requirements of my job is that every month I have to start at 5am, seven days in a row - Saturday through Friday. For a lesser man this would be considered a struggle! HA!

Unfortunately, I am a lesser man, and it was a huge struggle.

My alarm would go off at 4am. I’d hit snooze at least once before finally getting on with it and then speeding to work. I can still remember how I felt those first few days. I really, absolutely, hated getting up at that time. I’ll even put it in italics. I really, absolutely, hated getting up at that time.
