Daryl Somers

Who else simply cannot believe the dream run that Daryl Somers has had?

I really enjoyed Hey Hey It’s Saturday when I was growing up. It was funny, creative and had enjoyable segments. It was just a good laugh. With Somers at its helm, it last forever and a day but eventually got axed.

He was extremely sooky about this and made it known…. despite the fact he had one of the most successful shows in Australian TV history.

When he was drafted in to host Dancing with the Stars I thought it was a great decision. But he was so painful to watch. Easily the worst television hosting that I have ever seen, on any program, period. Seriously, couldn’t the dude string one coherent sentence together?? Not in the time I watched! For one of Australia’s most experienced tv performers it was impossible to believe he could be so incompetent.

I can’t see myself watching that tv show again.

Advertising on cars is an idea that has been played with by various services including Kahdo and AdVelocity.

I saw a car today with this plastered on the door and to be honest, it strikes me as a little amateurish. It’s an interesting idea though, which is why I put it up here.

Maybe a reader can take the idea and make it successful in their own city. I know I visited the website based on the URL on the car door!

Here a couple of great resources for those interested in mens style:

www.styleforum.net

and

www.askandyaboutclothes.com

These are the two ‘authority’ sites on mens style. There’s men on these forums with some highly particular and stringent ideas. There’s also the absolutely hopeless who need all the advice they can get!

At the very least, you’ll learn how to identify quality and value, learn about what constitutes a good fit and a whole lot more.
