The most important six photos for the Newton Clothiers website - that I really needed to come out well - were the ones showing how to measure yourself.
So imagine my heart attack at 11.30pm last night when I discovered one of them hadn’t come on the cd from my photographer. For a couple of minutes I couldn’t believe it… the imminent release of my business getting pushed back even further! I sent smses and emails to him expressing my urgent need for help but in anticipation of the photos being completely missing I set about fixing the problem.
Very soon, I realised that the incredibly large size of the photo resolution (10MP) would come into my favour. Thank God for photo editing software.
I opened up Macromedia Fireworks and started snipping away at the photo for measuring your hips:

I’m pretty happy with the result! A very scary moment though. Starting this business is teaching me more and more about the value of improvisation. I’m loving it.
